How did it all begin?

In 2018, Kristal Jem woke up on her 28th birthday with a burning desire to give back to the community. With her many years of performing in the local arts scene she was well acquainted with many talented ladies in the Okanagan. After months of planning, phone calls, interviews and a few tears, Vibrations of Hope would breathe its first breath in the Okanagan. Kristal has always found compassion in her heart for woman who have experienced abuse in any sort of way and giving all the profit from the event to the Kelowna Woman’s Shelter was where she found her calling.

What was it all about?

The event took place at a venue in Kelowna called The Habitat. Quinn Best, owner of the venue, generously donated the space to the event. Jennifer Molgat from The View Winery sponsored the event by donating all wine profit to the Kelowna Woman’s Shelter. A silent auction had contributions from many local artisans and companies from the Okanagan such as the Kelowna Actors Studio, Danielle Crowe, Rachelle BraundHard, Krystal Galata, Oranj Fitness, The View Winery and Helix Integrative Health.

A seed of Hope planted

With the overwhelming support of the many artists, singers, dancers, patrons and media involved, in 2018 Kristal Jem was pleased to present the Kelowna Woman’s Shelters with a cheque of $2000.
